Course overview

“It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it!”. Have you, too, heard this phrase many times before? At CPD Campus, we look at this differently. Imagine the difference you can make as a public speaker if you can master the “what” and the “how” of public speaking and presentation! Accounting, finance, tax, and business professionals find themselves in many situations where their speaking and presentation abilities are put to the test of scrutiny. In recent years, especially following the global pandemic, the introduction of technology into communication, has added a further layer of complexity to our presentation and public speaking skills. The unfortunate truth is that we are living in extremely BUSY times – people don’t have time to listen to others, harsh as that may sound! This has the effect that, when given the opportunity to address a body of listeners, you have a very short window in which to capture their attention and make the impression you need in order to achieve the outcomes you are hoping for. This also rings true for presentation skills, be it for presentation of findings to a client, or pitching your brilliant business ideas to a possible investor, using your time wisely to pack a power punch is of the utmost importance to your success. Join CPD Campus for this session where we investigate what makes certain public speakers hugely successful, and others less so.
