Course overview
During the 2020 and 2021 calendar years, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) undertook an extensive project in which they considered the full alignment of the IFRS for SMEs, which was last updated in 2015, with full IFRS. Public comment was sought, and it is expected that the IFRS for SMEs will be brought in line with the developments that have most affected full IFRS in recent years (e.g. IFRS 9 Financial Instruments, IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers, IFRS 16 Leases etc.

In this live CPD session, we update you on the progress of this IASB project as well as when such updates are likely to become effective to those using the IFRS for SMEs as reporting framework. In joining us for this live session, you will also be developing the following professional competencies:
