Course overview
Listening is something we take for granted. We often make the mistake of thinking that hearing is the same as listening. But to listen, we need to make a conscious effort to not only hear what people are saying, but to take it in, digest it and understand it. Listening enhances our ability to understand and thereby contributes to our learning and growth. It also makes us better communicators, and makes the experience of speaking to us more enjoyable to other people – thereby helping us to build meaningful relationships in both our personal and work lives. In this course, we aim to help you listen for understanding.
