Course overview
People want to put their best foot forward when they’re applying for a new position. They use their resume to highlight their successes and they downplay anything that could be seen as a potential drawback. This means that most people will feel tempted to exaggerate just a little bit in order to punch up their resume. In this course we tackle the sometimes-sticky topic of resumes and ethics, incl. what constitutes a lie on a CV, why people lie on resumes, what the most common lies on resumes are, the consequences of lying on one's resume and how to enhance one's resume in an ethical way.
