Course overview
“Curiosity killed the cat” – or did it? More professionally we refer to curiosity as inquisitiveness. Inquisitiveness is a scarce, but absolutely vital skill that lifelong learning professionals need to possess as part of their skills toolkit.

When massive corporate accounting scandals occur or embarrassing audit failures make the news headlines, our initial reaction, as professionals, is to ask: did not even one person on the board of directors or one audit team member ask the question, “does that make sense?” or “does that appear correct?”. Was there just no curiosity about certain information, or did curious individuals feel they did not know how to ask the right questions?

How can we leverage (use) our skill of curiosity to ask the right questions? Questions that make a difference, questions that stop corporate accounting scandals, audit failures, and ethical transgressions in their tracks!
