Course overview
The President of South Africa proclaimed the commencement date of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 to be 1 July 2020. A grace period of one year was granted for all parties who process personal information to comply with the Act. This means that the effective date for compliance is 1 July 2021. This course is provided in the form of an eBook. The purpose of this eBook is to provide an overview of the most important parts of the Act, and to offer practical guidance towards compliance with the Act.
