Ethical Intelligence in the Modern Era (2026 Ethics Bundle)

The Ethical Intelligence in the Modern Era bundle brings together three complementary courses exploring the full spectrum of ethical conduct: Personal Ethics, Business Ethics, and Professional Ethics. Together, these courses provide a practical and thought-provoking journey from individual values and behaviour, through organisational culture and decision-making, to the professional standards and responsibilities that govern the accounting, auditing, financial, and broader business professions.
The first course, Personal Ethics, focuses on the individual. It explores how character, values, judgement, ethical blind spots, and personal pressures influence behaviour long before formal rules or policies apply. The course also supports SAICA members in meeting the annual personal ethics reflection requirement set out in Circular 02/2021.

The second course, Business Ethics, shifts the focus to the organisation. It examines how personal values are translated into workplace culture, leadership practices, policies, systems, and everyday business decisions. Participants will explore how ethical and unethical cultures develop, how organisations build or lose trust, and how professionals can promote fairness, transparency, accountability, and responsible conduct within their teams and organisations.

The final course, Professional Ethics, brings personal values and organisational culture together within the framework of professional responsibility. It explores the core ethical principles that guide professional conduct, including integrity, objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality, and professional behaviour. Participants will consider practical dilemmas, conflicts of interest, independence, stakeholder expectations, and the pressures that can challenge professional judgement.
