The IFRS for SMEs (Third Edition) Bundle

The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) released the Third Edition of the IFRS for SMEs Standard. The revised Standard becomes mandatorily effective for financial periods beginning on or after 1 January 2027. While this provides a measure of grace time, preparation must begin during 2026. Importantly, the new IFRS for SMEs is required to be applied retrospectively (with limited exceptions) from its implementation date. This means that relevant information must already be identified, assessed and captured during the 2026 financial period in preparation for full implementation in 2027.

This webinar bundle is specifically designed to equip practitioners, financial managers and accounting professionals with the knowledge and practical insight required to prepare effectively for the transition.

The webinar bundle includes both the 2025 and 2026 IFRS for SMEs Annual Update sessions.

The webinar bundle also focuses on the six key sections that were most significantly impacted by the introduction of the Third Edition of the IFRS for SMEs, namely:
Section 2 – Concepts and Pervasive Principles (aligned with 2018 Conceptual Framework)
Section 9 – Consolidated and Separate Financial Statements (aligned with IFRS 10)
Section 11 – Financial Instruments (aligned with IFRS 9)
Section 12 – Fair Value Measurement (aligned with IFRS 13)
Section 19 – Business Combinations and Goodwill (aligned with IFRS 3)
Section 23 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers (aligned with IFRS 15)

Each webinar unpacks the amendments, highlights practical implications, and guides on the implementation considerations.
